Schweitzer’s Sky House Styled Spring Wedding

June 1, 2017

Spring blooms inspired wedding styled shoot at Schweitzer’s Sky House was a dream team collab that brought together the finest vendors in North Idaho.

My thoughts are always better with pictures, and I have plenty of both to share. This journal is home to memorable photoshoots and helpful musings for photographers finding their way.

Wedding Inspiration

This nearly spring styled shoot was a fun collaboration with some of North Idaho’s top vendors. Our inspiration of bright blooms was perfect for Schweitzer to show off the versatility of the new Sky House and to bring in some sparkle and vivid color.

We love unique looks and adventurous couples that dare to go higher with their wedding vision! When planning a Schweitzer wedding, it is a really good idea to listen to their vendor recommendations and put together a trusted team of experts that know the mountain’s challenges. We had some “expected” winter weather that would give anyone a chill, but our hair and makeup team was well prepared.

We found a wedding gown that not only defied the classic trends of white and ivory, but our partners all agreed that we should invest in a dress that could be donated to a local cause for prom after the shoot. We love this fresh look for any occasion, but I definitely want to see more of this at the rehearsal dinner.

Our amazing cake artists at Pastry & More built a custom box to transport a four tier cake up the chair lift. Of course, cupcakes were recommended, but we were determined to push some limits. We gave them our vision, and they definitely delivered!

Special thanks to Zero Point and Sunshine Goldmine for lending us the impressive crystals and jewels! Chloe Jenkins, our fearless coordinator knew exactly how to tie all the pieces (and vendors) together for the perfect look.

And finally, our gorgeous models, Ryleigh and Wyatt, still just sweethearts here, warmed up the whole shoot with their charm and natural chemistry.
